Blasting out of the basements of Philadelphia’s DIY music scene comes the third album from self-proclaimed “goblin punk” three-piece Friend: DOG EAT DOG. Pulling influence from the post-punk/post-rock era of the late 90s - early 2010s and personal favorites of the band (The Drums, Bloc Party, Mike Krol, Joy Division, Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, IDLES) DOG EAT DOG is a mutant blend between the band’s signature blown-out and distorted “goblin” sound and a melancholic, reverberated nostalgia. DOG EAT DOG is their first release on Philadelphia's Born Losers Records and is due out February 2nd 2024.
