Super Tender is about moving on. It is about thinking all of what has happened so far in my life is so important, it is about realizing none of it is important literally at all. It is about being a slut or wishing I was a slut. It is about cutting myself, it is about stopping that, it is about breaking up with my ex, it is about being so over that, it is about thrashing out of the swaddle of my youth and into my fucked up adult life, my fucked up but way-better-than-before adult life. I have begun to learn, like we all do when we age, how to feel and move on, how to take control and let go all at once. My mother made a comment on the change in my person and the way I carried myself this past April. She said I was more serious, she said I was quieter. I think she meant I am more tender. I feel tender all the time, broken and soft and delicate and grateful.

It is my first full length LP. It is a set of songs that together invite listeners to consider their transition out of youth and into life, out of considering their life in the context of their youth at all. It should be listened to in order, track 1-12 top to bottom, it should be listened to everywhere. It is about my experience as a young woman, it is about having to consider my body and my mind and my heart in this particular patriarchy, it is about what I want, it is about my desire for power, my desire to be angry, and my ultimate surrender to the fact there is no chance to control any of it, this is all I can do.
